Rob and Sue Doyle

Rob and Sue, married for 47 years, are entrepreneurs who started their auctioneering business from their home in the early 1970’s, and have grown to serving clients in multiple states, conducting over 400 auctions a year. They are graduates of the International Auction School and Certified Auctioneers Institute. Both active in their community, they have become known throughout, Dutchess County for their contributions to local nonprofit organizations.
Sue, a licensed real estate broker in 4 states, and past president of the NYS Auctioneers Association and a past Director of the National Auctioneers Association Board of Directors served on the DCC Foundation Board for twelve years including as chair. She has also served on district & regional PTA, Birthright Board of Directors, as a team leader & food drive coordinator for the Fishkill Food Pantry and a volunteer and trainer at Animal Rescue Foundation, Beacon since 2011. She is an active member of Poughkeepsie Branch AAUW; at St. Mary’s Church she is a Eucharistic minister, lector, and cantor since 1996.
Sue has been one of the most active members of Rotary International in the eight-county District 7210 and was named Rotarian of the Year for her club & District. She is past President of the Poughkeepsie-Arlington Rotary Club; held district offices of Membership, Foundation treasurer, Assistant Governor for Region 4, District Communications Director, and as a facilitator for Rotary Leadership Institute.
Rob was inducted into the National Auctioneers Hall of Fame in 2006, having served as the 50th President of the National Auctioneers Association, President of New York State Auctioneers Association, President of NYC Auctioneers Association and National Auctioneers Foundation and is also a past bid calling champion in New York and New Jersey! He is a certified appraiser through International Society of Appraisers, the Certified Auctioneers Guild of America, a certified auctioneer and licensed real estate broker. He is deeply committed to the auctioneer profession and has been a frequent speaker and instructor throughout the US.
Rob is active in many local nonprofit and service organizations as a director on the Dutchess County Historical Society Board, and Bannerman’s Island Trust Board. He is a member & past president of the Exchange Club of Southern Dutchess. He also has been a director for Dutchess County Tourism, Economic Development, Dutchess County Boy Scouts, Vietnam Veterans, past chair of the Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce, and the Bardavon 1869 Opera House.
Somehow Rob and Sue manage time with their family and hobbies such as Hiking, Boating, Hudson River School Art, & History. In addition to their thriving business and raising two daughters, Patty and Kim, who each have one child, they enjoy traveling and writing. But their priority remains making a difference at home, in the world, helping feed the hungry, house the homeless, and aid in the effort to overcome the opioid and addiction crisis.
