Making Your MARC
Kelly Lyndgaard of Unshattered
Kelly is the Founder and CEO of Unshattered - a 501c3 nonprofit social enterprise whose mission is to end the addiction relapse cycle through ethical, sustainable fashion. A physicist and engineer by training, Kelly is now a thought leader in the arena of post- addiction employment models.
Previously a Fortune 20 executive, Kelly left the corporate world to begin Unshattered. The organization provides job skills training and employment for women in recovery, helping them build pathways toward economic stability and sustained sobriety. In nearly 8 years of employing women in recovery Unshattered has experienced only a single relapse for their employees.
The women of Unshattered make premium handbags from upcycled materials, including the original 1955 Mercedes-Benz upholstery, scrap from high-end design firms, and, through their partnership with Southwest Airlines, upcycled leather seats from their planes. Unshattered invests in personal and professional development to help women move toward their highest level of success and contribution.
